NORTH EAST INTERMEDIATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The North East Intermediate Elementary School believes strongly in encouraging all students to demonstrate advanced behavior, represent themselves in a courteous manner, and model good citizenship each and every day that they are in school.  In preparation for the eventual movement to the Middle School upon completion of fifth grade, it is important to instill in all students these respectful characteristics.  As such, a “Student of the Month” program has been implemented that recognizes students in each grade level on a monthly basis for demonstrating these ideals.  Included in the description of qualifying as a “Student of the Month” are the qualities of good decision making, display of superior character, and the act of performing Good Samaritan deeds.

Nominations are made by the faculty and staff of the Elementary School throughout the course of the school year.  One male and one female student in grades 3, 4, and 5 are selected from among these nominations each month.  These students receive recognition in the following ways:

“You know our school is one of the best.  We have lots of privileges and it’s a lot of fun.  Some other schools don’t get to go on field trips like our field trips.  Also, our school has very good teachers or should I say all great teachers.  We as students are very well educated in all subjects.

 This is North East Intermediate!”

“I think that North East Intermediate School is a great school.  We get to have lunch and recess and the teachers are really nice!  I like that we get to have library, gym, pool, art, and music.  You can buy or pack your lunch.  My favorite thing is that at lunch you can buy snacks and get a slushy or water.  At recess, we play inside or outside.  The classes we take are reading, spelling, language arts, math, and science.  It’s really fun!  North East Intermediate is a great school!”
